32. They got the murderer of Melissa Hortman on federal charges

even though he never left Minnesota, because he had used the Internet, US mail and GPS to plan the murder and to stalk the victims (stalking using instrumentalities of interstate commerce for the purpose of inflicting fear, harm or death is a federal crime), and for using a firearm in connection with that federal crime. I think Patel is looking for a similar nexus. (Boelter is also being prosecuted on murder and attempted murder charges in Minnesota, which means he can't be pardoned.)
