12. That's one of the strangest towns in AL.

It's in a mostly arch-conservative area with some very liberal types in the mix, there are lots of extremely rich/wealthy old families with big old estates on the water, lots of artsy-weirdo types (who may or may not have some of that money), white flighters who still rely on Mobile across for the bay of their income etc, out of state retirees, and good old rednecks. It's a beautiful town and it's no surprise that this kind of thing would come to a head there (so to speak). One thing it's never been exclusively is a "family town" - that's A part of it, but holy cow I have seen and heard of WILD stuff going on. I'm glad to see the resistance is still alive down there.
