20. Well, especially attending Catholic school in Boston! 😄👍...

My dad when I was about 12 in '65 would make me go with him as he slipped flyers for Democrats local races under our neighbor's apt doors.

I saw (future Mayor) John Lindsey get out of a car in my nabe with no one around him when I was 12 or 13.
And I campaigned for him on his reelection.

I was sooo going to campaign for Bobby when he'd arrive for our NYS primary which was after California 😭 .
Watched the Dem '68 Convention while we were on vacation!

We had a long school strike, so I went and campaigned for Humphrey.

After McGovern which kind of did me in I switched to semi activism on issues for the most part vs candidates. Of course, I followed the Primaries, voted etc.

Then I came back to campaigning for Bill Clinton.
I was invited to help decorate the ballroom at the Sheraton in '92; which they opened up the 2 dividers so it was practically (at least 2 city blocks long) an Avenue long! We were allowed to stay.

There were televisions on those stands scattered about. A press table to the left, and a seat of bleachers near the front for the camera, and film people. A big screen on the stage.
It was sooo exciting! 🎉 😄

Oh, and as an vusual artist I collected political buttons!
I might still have a very small Kennedy button my uncle gave me.
