18. Gerrymandering is a form of taking away your representation.

If the district map is rigged so you can't win, who's representing you?
The colonies had no representatives at all. But, if you are denied the ability to elect someone who would support your view, then you effectively have no voice in that part of government.

I didn't think it'd be that hard to see that the intent is the same.
