The wealthy and corporations have been pillaging the economy via tax policy and regulations for decades now, and things are heading toward mass catastrophe.

Yeah, good that he's woken up and being more thoughtful, but I can't give him credit for suddenly waking up in the midst of the entire ship sinking. He's simply reacting to his innate survival instinct.
