Epstein files: The Justice Department reposted an image containing a photo of President Trump that it had removed from an online collection of files on the convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The department said it reposted the image on Sunday after it was re-examined and found not to contain images of Mr. Epstein’s victims. Lawmaker criticism: Representative Thomas Massie, the Kentucky Republican who helped write the Epstein files legislation, accused administration officials of “flouting the spirit and the letter of the law” in an appearance on CBS’s “Face the Nation.” He cited the many redactions and the administration’s failure to release all the files on Friday.

The Justice Department has republished an image from the Epstein files that it had released in an online collection on Friday and then removed, which showed a number of photographs on a credenza in one of Epstein’s houses, including one of Donald J. Trump. The removal of the image had raised questions about whether the department was trying to shield the president.

Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche said on Sunday that the image was pulled down over concerns that it might contain images of victims. ... “After the review, it was determined there is no evidence that any Epstein victims are depicted in the photograph, and it has been reposted without any alteration or redaction,” the Justice Department said in a statement on social media.
