Commit violence and pain on others, but act outraged if your victims dare to fight back.

It is often seen in domestic violence. "I can hit you justifiably, but if you fight back that gives me license to scale up my violence." I've witnessed and even experienced it over and over again. It is a timeless maneuver from the Bully Playbook.
