Vance is a child, period.

Beyond that?

Republicans do not care about anything beyond power and wealth. They abandoned the Black people when they negotiated the election of 1876. Much like Trump IS the Republican Party now, Lincoln was the Republican Party until he was assasinated.

Since then while there was a liberal wing of the party as exemplified by TR the powers behind the scene were always anti-democracy, anti-labor.

The rise of what the party now is can be traced through several philosophical threads. Among the threads are Russell Kirk, William F. Buckley and Leo Strauss through Goldwater who was useful but now is ignored until Reagan came on the scene. There were the Koch brothers who were anti-American. The John Birch Society as well.

This has been a well planned slow motion coup. The most culpable party in this has been the media followed by the naive, foolish Democratic Party. They could have and should have been screaming this from the mountaintop.

Imo, Trump won’t complete his term. He will die, be shunted off the stage with some title and ceremonial “job” or be removed by a palace coup quietly (figure claims of a stroke or heart attack).

The other pathetic party who is too blame is the electorate. Sure, the electoral college which needs to be scrapped had blame. The people are to blame.

There will be books written about this for years.
