What meagre scientific instincts or actually no..what scientific training I was fortunate enough to acquire taught me that this is not an elegant way to do science and doesn’t signal talent or training. It is brute force, trial and error, fishing..all scientists do that a little, but I would be shocked if that is at all about science.

It is just parasitic advertising and marketing I bet. That cannot possibly be good science.
