I believe we DO have platforms for messaging….halls of Congress, steps of the Capitol, at protest marches and rallies, City Halls, Town Halls, parking lots, on and on and on.

If groups of Democratic leaders only get on local news, so be it. At least they’re being seen by somebody. A whole bunch of somebodys might lead to new voters. Someone might get persuaded and I’d rather try than not.

The courageous anti-ICE folks with whistles are at least calling attention to an issue of great importance. They certainly are getting some air time. Every void without Democratic leaders speaking out is an opportunity for Republicans who have been very successful in framing most issues. The very fact that Republicans are speaking out everywhere is even more reason for Democratic leaders to show up en masse.
