In reply to the discussion: Trump threatens to use the Insurrection Act to 'put an end' to protests in Minneapolis [View all]BumRushDaShow
(166,104 posts)51. "The big question in my mind is...........WHY MINNEAPOLIS?????????????"
#1 - The governor is the guy who ran against him alongside Kamala Harris and 45 lost that state in the 2024 election
#2 - Abject racism - i.e., the large Somali population there
#3 - More abject racism - i.e., the George Floyd murder happened there (during 45's first term, where BLM protests really took off) and he is using that as a double pretext - both to taunt Walz and to probably eventually promote the freeing of Derek Chauvin (the cop who killed Floyd, via a pardon, although he claims he didn't have any plans for that).

"Put an end to the protests" but not the violence. 'Cause the "Officers" love the violence. It gets them off.

We need to get into the streets in numbers that make the complicit ones more afraid of us than they are of Cankles.
