Windows 11 is focused on pushing AI into everything you do, and it monitors your activities as well. That, plus ads displayed on the Start menu panel, make it pretty apparent that the current management of Microsoft view user information as their product and users as a resource to be mined.

I'm considering a move to Linux off of Win11. I've resisted because my energy level is limited these days and I have other things I'd rather focus on. On the current trajectory, however, I may lose patience with Microsoft entirely.
