According to Parkrose Permaculture on YT, the march went up to a block away from the facility (but not directly in front of it) and then the participants turned and were marching back to Caruthers. It was at the point that they made the turn back, and there was a bottleneck forming at the u-turn, that ICE goons started firing chemicals from the roof of the facility at the crowd.
