It is abhorrent that these policies from ICE and CBP and the entire Trump regime find so many supporters in these United States, but the placing of trigger-happy cowards in paramilitary garb and with a clear deficit in training and procedural or situational awareness is a criminal act unto itself.

The shooters both deserve murder charges for the 10 shots fired into a non-threatening target, but their commanders also need to be brought up on charges and that goes all the way up to the top. They also should immediately be suspended pending trial and afterward should NEVER again be allowed to carry a weapon with state sanction for any role as long as they live (after they do their time).

Self-loathing people are always useful tools to the proponents of hateful ideologies. It is an easy button to push to make them more vicious than others to prove how they fit in despite outward appearances.
