These border towns have economies that depend on Border Patrol, Customs and ICE. The whole works. If they didn't have those jobs, much of the population would move away. Border patrol is literally an industry.

Look at Uvalde!!

Do you know how many Latino BP agents have engaged in brutality? You should have seen Uvalde's PD FB, All the cops did was mock Latino immigrants. Almost all of the cops were Latino.
