because the funding will run out on DHS in a couple weeks WITH a holiday (President's Day) in there (it is on Feb. 16 and they usually take that week off for a "District Work Period" ).

In other words, (D)s were able to get that one Department separated out as a concentrated target.

Regarding "accountability", they already got a "concession" with respect to body cams. They will need to hold Noem's tiny feet to that fire. The rest of the demands will need to be pushed and we need to make sure that at least 7 (D)s in the Senate don't agree to anything until those demands are met (meaning it wouldn't matter if it passed the House because the Senate still has their 60-vote "filibuster" rule to advance to the final debate/vote and they need 7 of us to cross over to do it).
