But federal agents are not immune from state laws. If that were true then they could speed or throw trash out that window or any number of things and never fear state criminal charges for a crime.
Even federal officials and federal law enforcement agents, have to follow city, county and state laws.
It's often more about those laws being enforced then it is about if they are required to follow them because they are.
Shockingly, law enforcement is often noted for not applying the law to their peers as they do to everyone else.
