9. VA wanted to BLOCK a memorial for Alex PrettI

Pretti’s local VA was told by higher-ups to “pause the memorial.”

VA Sec Doug Collins (a military chaplain) could have used his training in pastoral care and counseling to comfort Pretti’s traumatized co-workers.

Did he?

Nope.

Instead, Collins put-out a terse, partisan, finger-wagging message blaming Democrats:
Such tragedies are unfortunately happening in Minnesota because of state and local officials’ refusal to cooperate with the federal government to enforce the law and deport dangerous illegal criminals.

No sympathy.
No reflection.
No shared grief.
No condolences.
No bereavement.
No expressions of solidarity.
Nothing for traumatized co-workers (such as lowering flag to half-staff)

Hard to believe someone purporting to be a military Chaplain can be such a boorish, snarky asshole.

Don’t take my word for it.
Google VA Sec Collins and see him being questioned on Capitol Hill.
Or read this transcript of Rep Kelly Morrison questioning Sec Collins
