14. Truth is corporate America saw opportunity

During pandemic, corporate America faced supply shortages and operational cost increases - and so increased their prices. Some was warranted, but it became very acceptable to just say: price increases because shortages and costs. We all just accepted it as fact, fearful of large layoffs if people complained.

Meanwhile, corporate profits, dividends to shareholders and stock prices all skyrocketed. This was the tell.

Then, Prices didn’t decrease when shortages subsided and increases slowed/stopped. No one put pressure on companies to stop increasing prices or to reduce prices.

Biden didn’t create the problem, he was holding the economy together, to avoid large layoffs, we were coming out of increasing inflation, heading to soft landing.
