It would cost a fortune to have them just sitting around the White House doing nothing, waiting for the moment Trump suffers some life-threatening situation requiring immediate care.
Besides, each time there's been an attempted "assassination," Trump has been at a Bund rally, out on the golf course or some place other than the White House.
If Trump were to actually suffer a life-threatening event while at the residence (knock on wood), they'd have to first round up all the necessary specialists and staff, then rush them to his "state of the art hospital and medical facility." Hopefully, it would take hours. That's why hospitals like Walter Reed exist..
