29. Why would anyone be "anti-gay"? What's in it for them?

I can see being anti-tax - you think this will help you pay less in tax; I can see being anti-war if you have a kid who might end up in the military. Even being anti-______[some race/ethnicity] because you're worried that if the ______[some race/ethnicity] people move in, you think property values will decline. Ignorant, yes, but you can see how in their tiny minds it might be self-serving.

But what is the point of expending ANY effort being anti-gay? What advantage does it provide to the hater? I can even maybe see some dumbass maybe voting for some anti-gay initiative because their minister told them to, but beyond voting, if a person has gone out of their way to publicize or work for an anti-gay cause, I just assume automatically they have HUGE issues with their own sexuality.
