I don't think this nation could survive a more corrupt president than Trump.

But then I though that after Nixon, the ethic rules instituted in the wake of Watergate would help ensure no repeats of his level of corruption. Silly me. I did not have the imagination to foresee Congress and SCOTUS facilitating this (formerly) unthinkable level of corruption.
