Missing lawmaker will return to DC soon, Tom Kean's staff says [View all]

It seems that Rep. Tom Kean Jr. may soon return to public life after more than 100 days. The two-term Republican, who represents New Jersey's 7th Congressional District, has not been in Washington, DC, since early March. In a statement, Harrison Neely, a consultant for the congressman, said Kean is eager to return to in-person work on June 30 and resume a full schedule.

Kean's team has issued statements noting that he is dealing with a personal medical issue but is expected to be totally fine.. Earlier in June, a statement said that he would transition from virtual work to in-person work within a matter of weeks."
That wasnt the first time his return was promised. Neely said Kean is handling a personal health matter and will be totally fine and returning to a full schedule soon in a statement April 23.
Kean has not voted in the House of Representatives since March 5. The latest update on Keans return was first reported by the New Jersey Globe.
