Core inflation rate hit 3.4% in May, highest since October 2023, Fed's preferred gauge shows

6. So I don't get it either....

Every time i go into the grocery store, the prices are just a little bit higher.... I'm talking maybe 3-5% a month !!! So how can the inflation rate be 4%, with groceries AND everything else going up too? Maybe they're only reporting on the inflation of products that are getting smaller to keep the prices down?????

Like has been said already, me thinks the books are being cooked to make the admin look like they've got everything under control !!!!!
