In New York, in order for Mierda47 to appeal the judgment he is required to post either
- Cash
- Unencumbered assets (meaning no loans or mortgages on those assets), or
- A surety bond (which is similar to a Bail Bond, requiring a cash payment to the insurer for a 10% approximately as a non-refundable fee for the bond).

The first defamation judgment for $5M is under appeal. Mierda47 posted cash in order to file the appeal.
