1. I wonder if someone else could've gotten it through.

I have a feeling that it was rejected largely because of who introduced it. I didn't know we were assisting Israel in Lebanon. We need to be backing out of Iran and Lebanon.. Israel should be happy now. We helped them bomb Iran again. But even if they'd gotten someone else to introduce the resolution, Trump would've been fighting it, although he can't count on all of his party anymore.
