DOGE officially had a sunset date of July 4, 2026, which I didn't realize until I spotted one "oh by the way" article that popped up outside of the LBN 12 hour requirement yesterday, so I dug around and found this.

The Independent eventually bubbled up their own article on their main page after I posted the OP one -

DOGE officially ended on July 4 as agencies push to hire jobs lost under Elon Musk’s cuts

(many media articles are not linked to on their main front pages until hours or even days after the purported publication date/timestamp)
