In reply to the discussion: Fox hires Dennis Kucinich as analyst [View all]Jim Lane
(11,175 posts)Apparently DU is full of geniuses who know exactly what Kucinich will say, including the extent to which he'll present genuine progressive positions and the extent to which he'll be manipulated by Fox just to make Obama look bad.
Hey, geniuses, could I have your picks for the NFL playoffs this weekend?
I side with the rational voices, such as cyclezealot in #62 ("I'll watch first, criticize later"
and Exen Trik in #92 ("I'll reserve jugement until I see how it plays out"
.
My personal prediction is that, yes, he'll criticize Obama, but he'll also criticize plenty of RWers, and will at least let a little fresh air into the hermetically sealed Fox bubble.
You might also consider that criticism from the left can help Obama. On health care, for example, the ACA looks moderate and centrist if you consider it as a compromise between the right (an unregulated free market) and the left (single payer). I'm sure many Fox viewers don't even realize that there's anything to the left of the ACA.
