The real reason was because the FBI had CLOSED IVINS IN COMPLETELY! Harassing him at every turn. CAmped outside his house and office and following him closely just to harass. Ivins was innocent...had no motive...and this anthrax incident was sent to the only senators who stood to block the Patriot Act. What is not mentioned in this article is the FBI agent who burned down the lab (by accident) and then was given a medal for the investigation. This investigation was totally mishandled and caused more damage than aid.
