1. I am officially confused

the opening sentence says:

Suspected Australian-Israeli spy Ben Zygier is believed to have been arrested by his employer on suspicions he had informed Australia's domestic intelligence agency of his work for Mossad, reports say.


and then, a couple paragraphs later, the article states:

Mr Zygier is said to have applied for a work visa in Italy on one of his four trips to Australia before his death in an Israeli jail in 2010.


How do you arrest a dead man?

or am I missing something?
