those. Thanks very much for posting.

I live in Europe, and this recent 'mystery meat' scandal has certainly and completely turned me off from buying meat in a supermarket for all time. Here at least, it's nominally cheaper to go to a butcher (5%) than to buy your meat in a store. And at least I know where it's coming from.

I've been trying to avoid convenience foods for the last month - not so much a fear of cancer, but to lose weight. So far, I've lost about 8 pounds, so that tells me that convenience foods are loaded with all kinds of God knows what that's unhealthy for you.

Carrageenan is in a whole lot of food products.
