Senate To Vote On Amendment Defunding Obamacare [View all]

The Senate will vote on an amendment put forward by Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) to defund the Affordable Care Act, otherwise known as Obamacare, on Wednesday at 2pm ET, per a Senate Democratic leadership aide.

The vote on the amendment, which is widely expected to fail, is part of a deal to move forward on a continuing resolution to fund the government past March 27 -- similar to that passed by the House. The measure marks the 34th time Republicans have tried to repeal or defund Obamacare.

What a waste of time this is. They need to get back voting on abortion restrictions and naming buildings after Reagan.
