I just think everyone who eats something should have to kill one of them themselves first. My personal guess is that a lot less people would end up choosing meat when faced with the stark reality of their choice.

While I have never had meat myself I do theoretically see three ways this could come about. The first is I really decide I want to eat something ( this would probably be a lobster they do look yummy) hunt it myself (and if this is a lobster then it would be skin diving while bare handed just to keep it fair) and then kill and eat it myself. The second is if I am invited to be a judge on iron chef, nuff said. The third circumstance is if I visit a developing area and someone slaughters their prize cattle representing a huge personal cost as a show of respect.
