72. How would a criminal have guns if no one had guns?

If no one had guns, then criminals wouldn't have guns. It's simple logic. I don't think people should have guns. That's all. I didn't say I think they should be outlawed. That's my whole point. Making guns illegal isn't the problem. The problem is that there are criminals who would use them to further their enterprise, and really fucking stupid schmucks who would use them to endanger themselves and others for a false sense of security that a gun provides for them because of a fictitious narrative sold to them by an industrial lobby. It's the culture that has to change, not the laws.

I think a first step would be for people to acknowledge that having a gun isn't going to defend them from an armed robber. Someone who chooses to have a gun in their house is far more likely to be killed by that gun than a gun carried by a criminal.
