(345 posts)Judge? Better to have the 'candidate' explain his actions in court - UNDER OATH - 2 days before the election and not giving Sanford a month to spin the 'reasons' why he was trespassing. Sanford seems to think he can explain his way out of any transgression he commits. Ethics violations. Poof. Not a big deal. Hiking the Appalachian Trail while commiting adultery and who knows what else? Forgiven by God, so no problem. A little jail time would be in order, but that is not going to happen. If this malfeasance in office specialist is elected, a few in the House of Representatives will ask for ouster but to no avail. It will come to nothing, and even if it did, the majority in the house won't let it come to a vote - to which they will say 'don't worry, Sanford, we've got your back'. And so it goes.
