(7,770 posts)And he doesn't know it (or doesn't show it). The GOP has to run *somebody* this year, right? I still think GOP types with any common sense (oxymoronic... I know) are sitting this election out.
Plus, why would the powers that be want to change POTUS?
He has done so much compromising and deal making with forces on the right, why remove him? Reasonable, non-dogmatic Republicans would be happy with continued tax cuts, no crack down on wall street, no campaign finance reform, strong military response to terrorism (bipartisan), etc.
A Republican in the White House would again solidify Dem opposition against right wing policy moves. Plus that opposition would be more informed and demanding after studying the example of how GOP minorities in Congress got their way time and time again.
I think Obama's gonna roll over Romney, save some catastrophe.
