But the end game is to avoid taking cases to trial....and Rupert perhaps going to jail. Most likely he'd win even then with his zillions, but the publicity is what would do the most damage to his enterprises if any of these cases went to a full blown trial.

We are witnessing the very real process of money buying someone out of charges they should be facing.
