(319 posts)23. Besides the numerical gaffe, he has a fundamental misunderstanding about the Bill of Rights
and the Constitution in general. Those documents don't grant any rights. They recognize rights that most people understood to be inherent with the human condition - Granted by the Creator.
The Bill of Rights is intended to clarify the Constitution and prevent abuse of government powers.
