(9,126 posts)I am a Kubrick nut, but that movie was just a mistake. He knew it too and said Tom and Nicole had ruined his movie!
2001, Clockwork, The Shining, Full Metal Jacket, all masterpieces and he's up there with the greatest filmmakers of all time.
Edie Falco is a miracle in that scene. And James Gandolfini was born to play Tony. I've watched the whole series more than a few times as we have the whole set, and while some shows might miss the mark, as a whole it is the best thing I've ever seen on television. The fourth season of The Wire is next. Too bad HBO was taken over by a couple of marketing suits who have no idea how to make a great show like Chris Albrecht, who unfortunately has a lot of personal problems but knew genius and gave them free reign to make something great. I haven't had a chance to check out Starz to see what he's up to. Too busy watching BBC shows if I ever watch anything at all.
I almost can't believe Tony is gone. They were talking at one point of making some movies. How sad, he was so young. RIP
