when I wrote that I thought it was something she has said 50 years ago, I didn't know it was something she had continued to use.

I have nothing but disdain for that. I haven't seen the comments you mention, but I have nothing but disdain for those types of comments.

I am 45 and I remember as a child the generation older than me using that language, and it seems to me that a lot of people in that generation used it at some point in their life. That's what I was saying. But most of them learned as society progressed during their lifetime. There is no excuse for it today.

I mentioned georgia because of time (which I thought was pre-60s) and place, not because I said anything about everyone being ignorant, backwards, bigots.
