I simply cannot accept that asking people to hide statements with which one does not agree leads to rational discourse.

This particular situation is a difficult one and there is nothing good to be said. From reading the above subthread clearly some people seem to wish to use this to promote their own particular view of orthodoxy and to make various unsubstantiated statements about those who do not agree with them - but, I find it difficult to believe that any adult would try to conclude a disagreement by running off to Mommy Jury to have the other party silenced.

If you do not like what someone says, reply to whatever argument they are making. If they are simply being insulting - then IGNORE them.


Do not take it upon yourself to silence someone else.
