19. Update at link: France won't say if permission was refused on Tuesday
Wed Jul 3, 2013, 12:01 PM
Jul 2013
French government spokeswoman Najat Vallaud-Belkacem said "France ended up authorizing the flight over its airspace by Mr. Morales' plane."

She said the plane "was authorized to fly over French territory" but wouldn't explain whether there had been an initial refusal Tuesday night amid the rumors about Snowden's presence on the plane.

They're all saying they gave permission on Wednesday - after Morales had landed in Vienna, and had said Snowden was not on board (and Austrian police officers had been on board, though whether this was a 'search' still seems unclear). But they're not denying that the refused permission on Tuesday evening.
