Police 'Tank' Purchase Riles New Hampshire Town

23. My town PD got five thirty-plus-year-old Humvees.

They nearly broke their own arms patting themselves on the back for getting them, telling residents that even though we got them for free and the city is responsible for paying for their maintenance then have to give them back in three years; paid thousands of dollars to get them shipped here; and that three of them are now broke down and have been sitting behind the city service garage for six months because even though they got a ton of spare parts no one employed by the city knows how to fix them and city doesn't have the funds to pay an outside contractor, it was a great deal for taxpayers.


Fucking morons.


The city is technically insolvent due to ten years of mis-management and doesn't even have enough money to fill potholes, but SWAT team members got HUMVEES to play with.
