7. These parents are a model

of what we all should be. Patient, generous, steadfast, and always gracious and calm. I don't know how they find the strength to be all that. They remind me of Jackie Robinson in a way, who knew he had no margin whatsoever for showing the extent of his frustration and pain. He had to be cool even under extreme duress. If Tracy and Sybrina acted out or said aloud some of the words that surely must have crossed their mind, the Right would point at them and say, "Just look at these out of control black people." Nothing is fair here. Nothing. Sending them all my love and hugs.
