3. That's not how it worked out in my household.

Three sons, one daughter, all liberal Democrats. Maybe being in a single parent household made a difference. They saw Mom doing traditional male chores and all the kids took turns taking out the trash, doing yard work, washing dishes, cleaning floors and helping out with younger siblings. Everyone cleaned their own rooms and did their own laundry. It was an equal opportunity household.
