Anthony did not have a legislative resume. He was a big mouth looking for a camera. He was not supported by major democrats behind the scenes because he wasn't considered a worker. He was a show boater. He lived for the camera. And, his current woes are part and parcel of the same problem. He's narcissistic.
He didn't think about his wife, when he was sexting. He didn't think about the voters as he was sending pictures of himself in his undies. Anthony thinks of Anthony.
I say, give him the Mayor's post, if you like him. But, if you're thinking Anthony is thinking of getting into the trenches, pulling up his sleeves, and fighting for the good people of New York, there just isn't anything on his current resume that suggests it's his top priority. Anthony is Anthony's top priority.
Being Mayor of New York...looks good on a resume. If he's elected, I guarantee you'll see his image on buses and billboards IMMEDIATELY. His ego is huge. Expect kickbacks and corruption...again, symptoms of his ego.
But, the stress from the spotlight he craves, will cause his risky behavior to get more intense. He needs professional help. And, no reasonable counseling would have suggested this return to the spotlight, so soon. He needs an intervention. To trust him with the lives of so many...foolhardy.
What is startling is that Weiner is supposedly one of the best New York has to offer. I used to have such high regard for this city. Now, I'm astounded. My how the mighty city has fallen...if he's a serious candidate. It's a shame.
