In reply to the discussion: (Major shakeup for the radio industry) Cumulus planning to drop Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity [View all]davidpdx
(22,000 posts)30. Thanks
That makes sense about it being the end of the year.
So essentially there are two huge station owners.
What I'm a little confused at is Cumulus/Premier (who I've never heard of) they already renewed Limbaugh through 2016, why are they negotiating now? I'm curious what' Hannity's deal is as well. Is this all based on the lost ad revenue?
I'd think the shows would be too expensive for the smaller independent stations.

OP
It WOULD be great, but I've just seen warring media cry-wolf situations too many times.

Wouldn't it be great if THEIR jobs were outsourced to guys in Delhi or Bangalore?

"remove (Limbaugh and Hannity) from more than 40 Cumulus channels in major markets."
