Assange: 'I am a big admirer of Ron Paul'

131. I'm not really bothered by this

Assange, first of all is not American. It's irrelevant whether or not he "admires" the Paul family - especially being that it's on the issue of government transparency, Assange's primary agenda.

Ron Paul (and I suppose his son, but haven't heard as much) was one of the few politicians I recall, actually supporting Assange when Wikileaks was made famous due to the Manning leaks. I remember he even made it clear during one of the debates.

Look, there are plenty of issues for me to disagree with Ron Paul on - he's obviously nuts on most, but it's difficult for me to disagree with him on the issue of constant war and the US imperialist mindset which our country desperately needs to leave behind. I would never vote for him, give him money, or any support because as I said I think on many issues he's really out there but I completely understand Assange's perspective on this.
