1. We're in drawdown-ville. I think they need to up-grade that assignment.

Give it to someone who is in zone for BGEN; that way they'll be less likely to fuck up.

I get the sense that the job is not valued, it is not seen as a stepping stone to anything more significant. They need to change that cultural mindset; to me, making sure that stuff stays safe and in good working order is probably one of the most important jobs in that branch of service.
