To what the Saoudians are now providing to the FSA, you can see the effect of it now in Daraa. A lot of real news about fighting in Syria never really reach the American public. The Atman military base was taken two days ago by the FSA, this is cutting the road between Damascus and one of his major road of communication and provisioning. The same happen in the north, the FSA is really close to cut the link between Aleppo and Damascus. And this chemical massacre happen because the rebel in the Damascus suburbs are really closer and closer from the center of power.

With this help, the US State Department is simply trying to see with who they will be able to work with in futur.
